Pennsylvania Event Photographer: NWOPA / HESS BBQ (SNEAK PEAK!)

Soooo...WHAT AN AWESOME BBQ!!!! Thank you, NWPOA. Thank you, Hess. And thank YOU for braving the cold and coming out to celebrate this momentous occasion.

Now, if only you could see the pictures from it. Right??? Isn't that what you're asking? In my defense, I have been working around the clock on the pictures. I was lucky enough to bring three other photographers with me and we had a ball documenting the event. Only problem is...we came home with 3,000 pictures. Yes, you heard me right! I have been up to my eyeballs organizing, editing, deleting, and uploading...but I need a little more time. They will be up sometime this week, but there's still a lot of work to do, so I beg patience of you. They are coming! They are coming!

Until then, here is a sneak peak of a few that are ready to go...

STAY TUNED FOR MANY, MANY MORE!

Massachusetts Children's Photographer: CALLIE, OH CALLIE

I had the extreme pleasure of hovering over Callie for a day and was it ever fun! At first, she was full of stink eye and had no appreciation for the Nikon at all, but she warmed up relatively quickly and the rest of the day was a blast. I had been told ahead of time that Callie was as cute as could be, but Callie, oh Callie...is it even possible to be THAT cute?

Ever observant and curious...now that she is on her feet, all I can say is, the race is on. Jill and John, put on your running shoes and enjoy every minute. She'll be running off to college before you know it!

Massachusetts Family Photographer: MELANIE, STEVE AND...ELIZABETH???

Melanie took Celia for a pedicure at a Korean nail salon. As they sat together with their feet poised for luxury, the technician approached Celia and asked her for her name. Celia proceeded to announce that her name is Elizabeth. Melanie couldn't believe what she was hearing and couldn't even stop herself from exclaiming, "That's not your name!" Somehow, the nail technician didn't catch this exchange and throughout the pedicure, continued to call her Elizabeth. Each time, Celia would cast Melanie a smug glance as if to say, I can be whomever I want to be!

No matter what you call her, she is a ball of energy and I got to spend some valuable time with her a couple of weeks ago. Steve was able to rush home from work to try to shoot a family portrait and we rushed off to the location they had in mind, only to find that it was unexpectedly closed. We found a location quickly as daylight was beginning to evade us and pulled off some shots before the sun set.

Despite all the rushing, I think we nailed it!

Pennsylvania Children's Photographer: MISS PAIGE

I've had two prolonged-quickie photo shoots with Paige, one in July and one in September. I know that makes no sense, but bear with me! A prolonged-quickie photo shoot is one in which my camera is up and click, click, click; then it's down and we play. Then up...down...up...down. All necessary because Paige STRONGLY dislikes having her picture taken. I'm not sure STRONGLY really captures her intense dislike for cameras...but only when she's the one in front of it. However, it seems as if she is warming up to the Nikon and we are getting great shots!

I heard all about Paige before I ever laid eyes on her.... and STILL, I was not at all prepared for what I was about to encounter.  Paige is one of the smartest kids I have ever known. Her zest for life is almost a given... and her zest for learning about and understanding life is astounding. But then, even more astounding is her ability to recall the smallest details ABOUT life when you least expect it. Yes, that Miss Paige is definitely something special!

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the September shoot!

Samey shot this little beauty of me and Paige. We had just been smothered with a face full of wet dog while I was trying to fix her shoe. Notice the pride on Ken's face for his boy. Good boy!

Paige is into dinner prep. Just one of her many talents.

She got this shot off of her dad. We'll make a photographer out of her yet!

What a phenomenal shot! Are you getting what I mean about Paige?

New York Family Photographer: ERIK, RENAE & DYLAN

In the beginning of September, I spent the good part of a day with Renae and her precious baby, Dylan. Erik was able to get away from work for some quick shots, and I've got to tell you...almost a month later, I STILL have a big ol' smile on my face. They are...I'm going to say it... an ADORABLE (double line ADORABLE as in cute, cute, cute) family! Thanks for opening your home and hearts to me...and for allowing me to capture special moments with your little angel, Dylan.
